There is a parm in the db config that is used. This should not be used since
IBM has said it is being depreciated and eventually will go away.

Well, I dont know what it means when you "alter bufferpool.. size -1",
but when you have automatic storage turned on (SIZE AUTOMATIC),
syscat.bufferpo ol reports -2 for NPAGES.

If you alter a buffer pool's size to -1, it will use as its size, the
value in the BUFFPAGE database configuration parameter. Generally,
this isn't advisable however, as the buffpage configuration parameter
is obsolete.
