Can't install DB2. It tells me its already installed.

    Hi

i tried to install db2 but windows xp gives me the message that i have installed it already as an administrator.

I tried to install it ones but then i realised that iam logged in as an administrator so before i clicked next i have canceled the installation. I have created another account called db2admin but it wont let me install db2 at all. There is no folder anywhere on the c drive from db2 and i have not installed db2 on my laptop. Still i cant figure out why it tells me that db2 is installed.

I think there is an entry in the registry. Would be great if someone can help me out with this.

    Thanks,
    Tray.

I believe there are several step to cleaning the machine.
Oh, By the way, what release are you working with (7,8,9)
Let's see if I can remember them:
    - Uninstall ( I assume you already did this)
    - Drive where its installed: C:\program files\IBM\DB2
    - I think there is a chunk stuck in C:\Documents and Settings\'insta lling user'
    - Registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACH INE>SOFTWARE>IB M>DB2

You need to log as administrator again, delete the key in the registry and possibly a db2 folder that was created in the My documents folder.
