    Net Search Extender

I hear that DB2 V9.1 has dropped, or will soon drop Net Search
    Extender.

I have occasion to require quick search for a particular word of
several columns of data, and very many rows.

What is there to replace this indexing feature?

No, NSE is still available for DB2 V9. I was at IBM workshop on DB2 and
PureXML lastweek and when I talked to the host about case insensitive search
for XML, he said we have to use NSE. So it is fair to assume that NSE will
    be available to DB2 V9.
