hi, now to update a DB2 7.1 32bit system with 1x T data to DB2 8.1 64bit
system. I want to do in follow steps and wanna your opinion:
backup the data
restore the data to DB2 8.1 32bit
backup
restore to 64bit DB2 8.1 system
can this work?
more, since the data is so big, I wonder whether there's a more effective
way to achieve this goal? the original storage is Shark, but the new system
is still unknow, so I'm not sure things like FlashCopy can work(I don't have
knowledge on Shark).
