Help with DB2 Client for Linux

I have a Redhat Linux 9 system which I need to run Java programs to
access a DB2 database residing on a remote server. The following web
site allows me to download DB2 clients:

Should I install the Adminstation Client, the Run-Time Client or the
    Application Development Client?

My DB2 server is version 7.2. Must I only use the version 7 of a
client software? Can a version 8 client be used?

    Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend the v7.2 run time client. Back level server support
    restrictions are documented here:
