How do you backup your databases ??
Our first backup on a new server (UDB 8.1) gave the result 'SQL0290N',
and the server could not be contacted. We had used Control Center and
the standard backup command to make an Offline backup (using quiescer
- else it said applications in use).
After hours finding a way to resolve from this error, we now need a
bullet proff - automated way to backup.
In time we'll have a set of databases on this server (same instance -
my external support adviced).
(Wasn't the Administration part announced to be better. Don't think
I'll ever learn to love DB2. )
How do you backup your databases ??
