Why DB2 creats so many new folders, like: "db2admin.MACHINENAME.026"?

    Hi,

I installed DB2 8.1 Express on the WindowsXP, and when I begin to use it, I
found DB2 creates many new folders in C:\Documents and Settings. It creats
more and more folders every day. All new folders has name like: "db2admin",
    "db2admin.MACHI NENAME", "db2admin.MACHI NENAME.001",
    "db2admin.MACHI NENAME.002", ...

Can any one help me with this? Thanks!

    Sean

The folders are the result of Windows' creating new profiles for the local
db2admin account. Check your event log for userenv-originated messages, and
enable userenv tracing in the registry to try and determine why this is
happening. Unfortunately, there are many possible causes, including
security, so you really do need to (enable and) look at the relevant log,
    here I can only guess.

For info on enabling userenv tracing, see
    http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;EN-US;221833.
For info on what may be this problem, see
    http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;257580.
If Q257580 is not your problem (quite possibly isn't), feed your event log
    or userenv.log errors into http://support.microsoft.com.
