    fixpack question

    Hello.

    w2k, db2v8wse.

Can I use FP3_WR21324_ESE .exe to fix my WSE database manager (instead of
    FP3_WR21324_WSE .exe)?
I tried to do this but I was said that my releas level is wrong...
May be some changes in file structure / contents of unpacked distribution
will help (sizes of these exe files are relatively equal)?

    Thanks in advance.

From a previous post on this group:

There's a bug in the Windows FP3 install code that looks for Fixpak 2. You
can either install fixpak 2 first, or hack around it like so:

    a. go into directory ~\sqllib\cfg (i.e. c:\ibm\program files\sqllib\cf g)
    b. find the file wse.lvl (may also be called wsue.lvl depending on whether
you installed Workgroup or Workgroup Unlimited Internet).
    c. copy this in the same directory to the name db2wse2.lvl (if that fails
    try wse2.lvl).
