Thinkpad Carbon x1 3th or Macbook Air 2015 for star programming

I am a beginner programmer and I need a light laptop for my studies. I found two models that interest me at the same price -Thinkpad and Macbook.

I look at benchmark and processors Thinkpad performs better, but I also heard a lot of good about the Macbook ( battery, MacOS..) and ... I do not know. I'm confused. Help me choose ...
