What does Hot Swap mean? Why can't IDE drives Hot Swamp?

    What does Hot Swap mean? Why can't IDE drives Hot Swamp?

    Hello......

    I want to know what is "Hot Swap" in storage.... and why IDE is not hot swappable?

    some reading about hot-swapping

    and to make an IDE hot swappable, buy a external case for the drive then you will be able to plug it into the computer through usb.

      No..... I read in a magazine tht IDE hard disks r not hot swappable.. So I want to know why IDE hard disk is not Hot swappable internally.....

        Hot Swap means the device which we can connect & Remove in running pc that called hot swappable device.

        Internal device of PC can not be hot swappable so it is must recommended that if you want to connect any internal hardware in a PC than PC should be shut down

        Hot Swappable device Ex:- Pen Drive,Portable hard drive
