    Which language/program should I learn?

I’M trying to find a second source of income. The new source of income needs to have flexible hours, outside of my regular 9-5, and offer decent extra income. I imagine coding/programming could offer the opportunity for which I’m searching.

Which skill/language might make me most marketable? What are some recommendations , as the first place where I’d begin my education. These would ideally be free resources to begin, until I’d know I’m capable of acquiring this new skill.

Please offer any direction or advice or ask questions that would help you offer me help.
thanks for helping me begin my new journey

Programming and software development is a good way to increase your career prospects.

You could look at any of the following paths to devleoping your skills.
      • Front-end ( javascript, react, angular, Swift/iOS )
      • Back-end programming ( python, ruby, go, php, node.js )
      • DevOps ( python, go, containers, linux , aws )

This is a great question a lot of beginners have or those looking to switch to another programming language.

        When picking a language you have to consider;
        1. The market demand (How needed is it in the job market?)
        2. Language difficulty (too difficult and you get discouraged)
        3. What kind of project(s) do you want to build?
        4. What is your expected salary (based on your goals)

I hope this helps, all the best.

Great decision to learn something and utilized the spare time in making some extra income.
I will suggest starting with Python. Python is always recommended if you’re looking for an
easy and even fun programming language to learn first. This allows you to obtain a basic
            knowledge of coding practices.
