    C++ error

    While compiling my code in turbo C++
    error "Segment _TEXT exceeds 64k" shown
    what does it means and how to solve the problem?

    I think you have to choose different memory model from the project settings.

      How old is your compiler?

      I haven't seen memory model issues since 16-bit windows 20 years ago.

          The error message says your program is too big to fit in 64K. Are you building code for a target system (processor/OS) where that limitation makes sense?

            It's not that the program won't fit into 64k but, rather, the object file from one of the source files is over 64K.

            Are you truly writing 16-bit code?
