C++ Or Java For Programs With GUI ?

HI,
I would like to know, is c++ or java better for programs with a lot of GUI parts and needs to be fast.
I'm 14 and torn between c++ or java so please help me. Its a program I want to make for a dev board later so im trying to find out which to learn.

The use of each language has its place.
IMNSHO - Learn BOTH, the syntax is not that different between the two and you'll have a much better understanding of programing.
