GUI for Robot Programming

Hi Everybody...
Can any body help me in building gui for robt programming?
I have programmed some basic robots using Embedded C on Windows Platform using AVR Microcontroller s.
I have seen some GUI that are used to program robots using C.
Can I build the same?
What skills are required to build it?
I know Embedded C only.
I will be very thankful for a help in any regards.
