Visual C++ 08 Error

Hello guys. I am having a problem with downloading Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition. I am downloading the program from here: http://www.microsoft.c om/express/download/#webInstall
My problem is that when I open it my text editor opens and at the top it says This Program cannont be run in dos mode and then a bunch of non-english junk. I am using a Mac OS X version 10.5.2 So how do I fix this?

Get Windows, because Visual Studio is a Windows only IDE. Or, get an IDE that runs on Macs.

So what IDE runs on a Mac?

You do realize, you can Google on C++ IDE and various combinations, right? You’ll get Xcode is the big contender. Also worth looking into are the various text editors available for Mac OS X.

I found XCode. It takes a long time to download but it should be worth it.
