.wav to txt in c

hi all,

can u please help me in converting .wav to txt format or storing in some variable. The problem is i am not getting working code in c. are there any header files like #include <backward_kerne l.h> in c which i have seen in one of the earlier postings.

please help me in this regard, its urgent.

I'm not sure how you could convert a sound file to text, unless you were just putting the binary bytes in order. Is that what you want to do? Or is there a way to textually represent a sound that I'm unaware of?
