    Use of CORBA in real-time systems

    Can a CORBA architecture be used to impliment a real-time system that
    requires high bandwidth and extreamly large data sets on standard PCs?
    I'm concerned about the overhead induced by the TAO Orb and possible
    memory bloat using C++ templates.

    Any information or links on this subject would be helpful.

    Thanks

    Sounds like the kind of thing you should ask on a CORBA forum. This
    group is for discussion of the C++ language.
