    Windows API

I NEED tutorials on windows api programming (yes, I know there is MFC
but I still don't really understand windows api programming yet). I
mostly don't understand things on text boxes, buttons, etc. Hopefully,
maybe someone will have a basic to advanced tutiral about directdraw
because I have no idea what it is.

Google "Petzold", then ask questions like these on a newsgroup with "win32"
or "ms-windows" and "programmin g" in its name. Microsoft has thousands of
them, where this is probably a FAQ. And always prep a question with Google
Groups first, to find either answers or the best newsgroups.

                Hi,

Look on msdn. There is lots of documentation, tutorials and reference
                material overthere:

There was a note on some newsgroup or other a few days ago that one should
be careful to get an old edition of Petzold to do what the OP wants.. Look
                        for posts from heathfield.
