Creating an Icon For my App

I have Visual Basic 6.0 Pro edition and Visual C++ enterprise edition. Is
there a way to create an icon with either of these ?
Or is there any included software on the CD's for these to create icons ?

Visual C++: go to Insert | Resource | Icon

Also, in My Computer under Tools | Folder Options | File Types, locate the
ICO file type and set the "Opens with..." choice to VC++, so you can
      double-click an icon and VC++ will pop-up.

Sorry for being helpful, I think I broke a newsgroup rule. <shhhhhh....>

There are no voted-for rules, but you're an anonymous idiot anyway.

That's off-topic in this group, but what the heck: if your question is
in good faith, then you're seriously lacking in certain respects, and if
it is not, then you're seriously lacking in certain other respects.

I have no idea of what you are trying to say or how to respond to it,
so I think I'll just drop the matter for now. Frankly, it is not worth

That would have been all right except you chose to act in spite of your
                lack of understanding.

Just keep that in mind next time you feel like delivering some heartfelt
                inane comment.

At one point in its history this group was drowning in a flood of Windows
related questions which were getting asked and answered. Had this continued
it would have left no unmoderated group for people who are interested in C++
but not particularly interested in Windows. There are plenty of Windows
related groups, but only one unmoderated C++ language group. That is why
this group is stricter than most.

only lead to more questions! Stop it up front, preferably with a big stick,

                        Stricter? As in Restricted...?

Then I guess it's lucky for y'all that MS has created C#. 95% of all MS
computer developers will move over there, and Windows topics WILL be on
