Someone can help me with insert sequence in c#?

i have an acces database an i want to insert a new record from a textbox.

My acces database has 2 fields :
Cod_criteriu - autoincrement;
denumire - text;

the folowing code comes from a form in which i have a text box and a buton from which i want to insert.

this.categoriiT ableAdapter.Ins ert(textBox1.Te xt);

After i press the button nothing happens and by nothing i mean really nothing.
