    Missing Navigate Backward Button in Standard Toolbar in Visual Studio 2005

    I started a new job and the version of Visual Studio 2005 that I am
    now using does not have the Navigate Backward Button nor the Navigate
    Forward Button in the Standard Toolbar, and they are not available
    when I Add or Remove buttons from the Standard Toolbar.

    (I had these two buttons in the VS 2005 of my previous job).

    How can I add them?

    How can I add them easily. I googled this subject and found only that
    you have to download some XML file and re-load it into some directory.

    Is there an easy way to add the Navigate Backward and Navigate Forward
    buttons?

    P.S. The functionality of Navigate Backward and Forward is currently
    available via the View drop down menu and even key sequences, but, for
    me, the buttons are faster.

    Thanks.

    This isn't going to sound very intuitive, but here's how you do it:

    On the IDE top-level menu, select Import and Export Settings;
    choose Import Selected environment settings, and click Next;
    choose Yes, save my current settings, and click Next;
    on the next page, select General Development Settings, and click Finish.

    If you don't like the keyboard assignments and toolbars from this setting,
    you can roll back to your previous settings by re-importing the settings you
    saved the first time, or choose a different collection of settings.

    Good luck,
