Detect Office Version

There is a way to detect which office version have a Windows?

I would look for a hint in windows registry, like HKLM\Software\M icrosoft\Office . Remember, first
you can have more than one version installed, and second with some other products it installs pieces
of different versions of Office. Like if i look in registry in the mentioned branch, i see Office
8.0, 9.0, 10.0 and 11.0 although i know for sure that i've only installed Office 11.0 on my machine
- the rest i guess came with some other Microsoft programms.
I would do a search in registry for office entries - ther should be default version somewhere
