Get the subnet of a machine

Does anyone know how to get the subnet of a machine in C#
(without using WMI's NetworkAdapterC onfiguration object)?

I've queried the Active Directory to get the visible
subnets -- perhaps I can use a similar approach to get
machines in each subnet??
