If Source Safe is installed, you should be able to right click on a project
and select "Add solution to source control..."

Once that's done the rest of the checking functions are available from the
    solution explorer.

      Hi,

Umm..it should work just fine. The only thing to consider is probably that
VSS should be installed BEFORE installing VS .NET?

        Why is that?
I installed mine long after I installed VS.NET and it works just fine.

And that's why I have said "probably" :-) By the way, which version of VSS
do you have installed? Things can be fine with 6.1 but not with 6.0.
However, if you could confirm things are fine with VSS 6.0, the original
poster should dig in some other direction...
