I want to add chat to my web application. Does anyone have suggestions to some readily available modules or add ons? The chat function will be one to one such as Facebook.
How to add one on one chat in an asp.net application?

Ahh ok…
Lets take this step be step.
- Open a web browser (Opera, Internet Explorer, FireFox).
- Within the browser there typically will be a long box at the top called an “Address Bar” that you can type in the URL of a website. More information on web browsers can be found here: http://www.lib.unc.edu/instruct/comm...ddressbar.html
- In the “Address Bar” of the browser that you opened type “http://www.google.com” but without the quotes and hit the “Enter” or “Return” key on your keyboard.
- Magically a new website called Google will soon fill in your browser. After the webpage loads completely you will see one box in the middle of the webpage that you can type into.
- In that box type “asp.net chat” but without the quotes and hit the “Enter” or “Return” key on your keyboard.
- Again; magically your browser will reload with a wealth of information on the subject you just searched on.
Hope this helped you on your start of finding/building a chat application for your website. After you get a start and find that you need some programming help feel free to post what code you have built and we will be happy to debug it for you.
Happy Coding,
