    GridView edit problem

I created a gridview and bound it to a datasource, I had some problems that do not relate to this post.
then I created another datasource programmaticall y and deleted the old one,
and I bound it using gridview.DataSo urce = source.

now when I click the edit button the first time nothing happens, when I click edit on another row, the previous row I clicked on changes to editing mode and shows update cancel links, then when I click a 3rd one, the 2nd one changes to editing mode etc...

what did I mess up ?

In not making a backup before you made fundamental changes to your program. Now you have no way to roll back an hour and try it again.

I make a backup of my project every hour at MOST, generally sooner. Before starting any new feature... before making a large change... any time I start something and think to myself "I hope this doesn't frak things up"...

Hard drive space is cheap. Keeping 40 versions a week is trivial.

thanks for your feedback but that's not exactly what I was looking for.
I have a working copy I just want to know how to fix this one
instead of making backups u may want to try Subversion as I do.

After setting the GridView.DataSo urce = yourDataSource you need to call the GridView.DataBi nd method to bind the data source to the grid.
