Can Css And master pages combined

how can i use both the css and master page to make my web pages stylist

Try creating an external stylesheet and reference it in your pages.

i had done it but cant get the exact thing

A. You had a referencing problem.
B. You used a stylesheet but you couldn't get the style you wanted.
C. Have created a internal stylesheet but don't know how to create an external one.
D. None of the above.

i had created a external style sheet
i gave the exact reference
yet cannot get the exact style in master page !!!!!!!!!!

wat i desing in visual studio master page that comes !!!!!!!!1 and also effect in other pages but the css style don not come!!
