    Timeout expired

we are accessing the webservice from our applications
"Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached..

this two times in a day

this will avoid restarting the services

    we are using ASP.Net web services 2005 ,C#.net 1.1,Sql Server 2000

can we avoid these problems without restarting the service ...

In your configuration file, you could increase the timeout interval... also increasing the minimum number of threads also should help... If you are connecting to remote Database then you should increase the connection pool size...

You can also do one thing..

You can record the timeout and increase it next time using text file or config file..
this way application will automatically figure out what is the best time out for it and you wont be needed for frequent change...

        Does IIS use connection pooling?
That messages sounds like a database message?

Also: You are hosting this application of a computer running a server OS right? Because a non-server OS (XP for example) has a max connections to IIS
