Creating a Web Service in Visual Studio 2005

[Nathan Sokalski]

I am trying to create an ASP.NET Web Service using VB.NET and Visual Studio
2005. When I select Add New Item and choose Web Service, it shows
WebService1.asm x in the Solution Explorer, but it opens WebService1.asm x.vb.
I have tried everything I can think of to open WebService1.asm x, but it is
almost as if it does not exist. What is going on here? Thanks.
