Bulk edit in DataGrid

I would like to avoid editing the items in a datagrid one by one because it
requires two additional clicks per each row - one click to put the grid in
edit mode and another one to save or cancel.

What would be the best way to edit multiple items at once and then save
them? Is there any third-party control that does that?
