bad request error

I am using apache 2.2 with aspdotnet mod. I can access .aspx files successfully using the alias with an absolute url like http://mydomain.com/aliasname/, however when I route through a DNS like http://actualsite.com/ I get the 400 error. I work around this by using url forwarding but can't always do this.

This occurs no matter what registrar I use. Please help with any ideas.
