using barcode with ASP for Attenence system

Hi all,
i am in need to develop a checkin checkout system where one sways the ID card with barcode and the system stores the checkin time from the system. when the same barcode no is swayed in the barcode scanner again it again stores the check out time from the system. All with no buttons pushed once the sys in started.

please please someone help!!
