Problem creating a web app in ASP

Can anyone help me? Here's the error: Unable to create WebApplication1 . The
file path: 'C\inetpub\wwwr oot\webapplicat ion1' does not correspond to
Http://localhost/webapplication1.....access denied
It seems like the inetpub\wwwroot path is not mapping to the localhost
location correctly.
