i want know how to code in perl to be able to display chem draw structures

well i have no choice except to use perl to display structures since my compny wants it that way

well to point i have database of this structure stored in oracle. lets just consider them as images for now. If i acces this using perl wat will i get a pathname to the image src or wat???????????? ?//

how these images are stored in the database? i meant to ask abt the datatype?? are they stored as BLOB or text.. on the other hand.. meaning the physical path of the image?

if it's stored as text.. then it save alot of time when it come to programming as you can just pull the path out of a related field and show them using the <src> tag..

well.. if it's stored as BLOB type then you have to find a ways to read and translate the BLOB field datatype..

A BLOB (Binary Large Object) is an Oracle datatype that can hold up to 4 GB of data. Also see CLOB. BLOB's are handy for storing digitized information (eg, images, audio, video)
