    Creating email using sendmail

    Good day to all.

I have found out my webhost doesn't support CDO or CDONTS(Sun ONE Active
    Server Pages with SpikePack unavailable).

So, my question, is it possible to write an ASP page to call their sendmail
to sent email? Or will I have to do some quick learning on cgi?

    Thanks for any input.

    Hehe,

Well I come here to ask my questions when I can't 'find' my hnit as to where
I need to look. My host doesn't 'support asp' and therefore they don't have
examples on how to wrap sendmail inside an ASP page. They have several perl
and cgi examples on sendmail, but I of course am coding in ASP.

Thanks for your responses though Ray. At least someone is reading my posts
    =)

    Thanks,
    David

Alright, I get it now. And I don't have the answer. So, now I ruined your
thread since people may skip it seeing there are replies, and you're stuck
with no answer. I suck. :[ Come on, someone, bail me out!

There are a couple of ways you can do what you want depending on what
is installed on your server and how badly you want to stay away from
        cgi/perl.

I expect their cgi/perl example will be a page accepting a form post
with variables for mail from, mail to, subject, body etc.

Either add the cgi/perl equivalent of response.redire ct back to your
script to the bottom of their script then form post to it from your
ASP. You will come out the other side with an email sent.

        Or

If they have MSXML installed on the server, use that to spoof a form
post to it with the necessary data to send the email.
