DNS settings

hello,

I have a website and i purchased another domain with it, now i want to use it as parked domain and publish adsense ads on it, but as I dont have dns control and I sent the details to hosting provider which includes A Receod and CNAME, they did it but now its giving error that the url is not correct, I checked for help on adsense forum and found that they have certain examples of some major hosting providers, as my hosting provider was not listed with them and all of the listed ones have different procedure to change settings, so please assist me what needs to be done,

also tell me is there different kind of dnd system they use to make settings and what they call these differnet dns systems, so that I can talk to my hosting provider

If you own the domain you should be able to update the DNS record for it to whatever you want. If you are using a small registrar you will need to contact them directly for instructions on how to update your DNS records.
