GoDaddy isn't exactly known for their "good hosting," only their "cheap hosting." They have bandwidth limits on cheaper accounts, and it sounds like they might also have limits on how often pages can be requested. Does this only occur after fast refreshes?

"Unlimited" always has fine print. Always.

I've had a number of sites on GoDaddy and have run into innumerable problems with temporary drop-outs. Most of the time, I've never figured out what the problem was. It could be any number of factors from network outages, GoDaddy internal routing problems, your ISP connection, etc. But my bet’s on a GoDaddy issue. I do have a couple of clients that have dedicated GoDaddy machines that only rarely experience these problems.

If you have an unlimited account, you should be able to turn on your raw logs and also setup SSH access to your account.

                For a relatively in-expensive PHP hosting solution, I use modwest.com among others…
