You can change the port number that Apache listens on, by editing the httpd.conf file. If the port is 80, you don't need to specify it, as that is the default.

What I believe you are looking for is a domain name. If you are on a computer at your college, you most likely will have one already, and you just need to figure out what it is. Check out SnoopMyIP and look by the Hostname field. If only your IP address show up, you will need to do some more work.

Go to DynDNS.com and sign up for an account. You can then set up a free Static DNS to point to your IP Address, or you can create a WebHop to point to an http://IP:Port/path/url.htm.

    I hope this helps you.

      Thanks for understanding my question.

You suggested me to visit DNS. If i register it & use. It is necessary to have my sys always online ??

I have only Intranet. Not Internet in my sys (At college).
I hope now i made it more clear
      Advance Thanks,

In an intranet situation, you can usually just refer to a computer by it's machine name
