    New to Algorithms

I'm new to algorithms and want to start writing them for security apps., can anyone give me advice as to where to start, reading material that you would recommend or exmple algorithms?

    Thanks in advance.

Go for the real thing and try to find "The Art Of Computer Programming", the standard work in three volumes by Donald Knuth; most (if not all) of the rest is a derivative thereof.

    kind regards,

Yep, I quit moderating, now I only answer some questions if/when I feel like it and let others do the endless discussions about banning, infractions, layout of the forums, correcting lazy school kids etc. etc. etc. I don't want to be jumped on my back anymore.

I went back to the Sun Java forums and I'm looking for other forums at the moment.

        kind regards,

        Jos

I can recommend a forum - copperhead.cc is a site for commiseration and help for users of Direcway (aka HughesNet). Their forums are very active and cover lots of topics not related to satellite problems and Hughes thievery, plus many members (including me) have managed to acquire better internet connections, but still keep up with the bonds we formed there. Of course, they welcome anyone who wants to join. They charge - I think it's $10 or $15 for lifetime membership.
