My most important client is changing their ERP from Sage to ERP-One+ by Distribution One. The new database is Progress, and they've installed an ODBC for me. I'd like to know if you have any experience with Progress and what quirks or gotchas I might encounter with that connection. I do not, unfortunately, get server access, so I cannot write stored procedures or views or whatever the equivalents are in Progress.
I have already run into one problem which may not be Progress-specific. The order entry / invoice header table has too many indexes (more than 32) so linking to that table with MS Access appears to be impossible. That may be a show stopper for me since so much of what I need to get at is in there. Can you suggest a work-around to this problem?
Thanks,
Jim
