True. I had, in fact, noticed that in the docco during my early experimentation ; but it had failed because, as I now see, of the other errors, and by the time of the OP I had forgotten about the parenthesis issue. :-(
I wonder why Microsoft makes their formatting rules so complex!
Anyway, all good now.

Hi Petrol.

Although Microsoft do have variations in their SQL offerings this difference isn't one of them. This is about (I think ANSI-92) SQL standards.
