Is it possible to dump a linked table into a local and update automatically

I am having trouble with a linked table. Is there a way to dump this linked table into a local table and have it Append records when new ones are added nightly or whenever?
I need a local table so I can add a calculated field in the local table so I can filter in a query a percentage margin. This seems to be the only way. Not sure how to update automatically though from Linked to Local New Table.

Two points.

1) It is bad practice to store a calculated field in a table. (see articles about database normalisation).
If you can do the calculation, it is simple to create a query based on your table, and just add the calculated field to the query.

2) Do you intend to update the linked table to match the updated local table?

Yeah I intend to update the table to match maybe 2-3 times a month.
I can’t put in the query because my calculation has criteria that I need to limit based on that calculation. Stinks

Where are you getting the Criteria from?

Can you please give an example of your table and the calculations you use to give you the margin?
