    An "Invalid Page Fault"

    Hi guys!

This is my first post so here goes: It is a long time since I have used Microsoft Access but now I don't appear to be able to do anything. I urgently need to open .MDB extension file but i cannot open it cause of the following message:An "Invalid Page Fault..." error (not necessarily a corrupt database issue)
Please help me! How to stop this error ?!

Interesting. A corrupt database would be what I'd expect. Why do you say it may not be? More than wishful thinking, of course.

I said nothing. It is a full error message: An "Invalid Page Fault..." error (not necessarily a corrupt database issue)

Try creating a new Database then Import all of the Objects from the damaged one. Sometimes, not often, a corrupt Object will be skipped and not Imported during this process.

I think I understand. I took the quotes to indicate the start and end of the error message itself.

In such a case I would certainly start with the assumption it is, indeed, a corrupted database. ADezii has posted instructions on how to proceed on that basis.

What version of access/office are you attempting to use to open the older MDB file?

What version of Access/Office was used to create the MDB file?

The reason I ask is because Access 2013 and newer will no longer open MDB files created with Access97. You should receive an error as shown: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...nd-access-2016
            HOWEVER (comma)
I have a few older ACC97 files that gave the page fault error instead.

I had to find a PC that still had ACC2010 and convert the file as stated in the above link.
I then created a new file in ACC2013 and imported the ACC-Objects as ADezii has suggested you attempt.

Whenever you suspect that your database get corrupted then the very first step that you should take is to create a backup copy of the MS Access database file and store it to other folder or place.
If you will be able to repair your corrupted Access data or not it depends on the level of corruption your database has experienced.
After creation of backup try to repair it by restarting your MS Access application. Try these methods
              • Try to restore database from any recent backup available.
              • If no backup available try to run Compact & Repair inbuilt Utility to repair.
              • Import MS Access Data to newly created database file.
