Microsoft Access Forms: Japanese writing Write Conflict how to fix

    Hi!,

I have been searching for a way to fix the Japanese characters that have popped up in one of my Access 2010 Forms. A user was inputting data in the record and when she was about to close the record, she says a box popped up telling her another user was in the record (and she cant remember what else the box said)...she selected "yes" and then the data turned to the Japanese characters. How do I get this to turn back to English? Is this a write conflict that she is referencing? I am new to Access and initially had no clue what she was talking about(and I still feel that I don't).and I still cant find the answers!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks!!

    Hello,
Going thru our back threads an noticed your question.

Of course, it would have been most helpful to have had the actual popup message text; however, a all too common, the end user just clicks thru - sigh

So let us start with the obvious, check the font in form, query, and table(s). If any of them are set to a Japanese font style try the obvious... set the font to something more user friendly.

The next steps may require VBA so I'll await your reply
