    Tracking Attendance in Microsoft Access

I am new to Microsoft Access. My supervisor wants me to create database to track student's attendance. As the year progresses, we will need to see the amount of students' absences. I looked up this previous discussion:
    https://bytes.com/topic/access/answers/489019-tracking-daily-attendance-ms-access
I have also viewed other sites and still cannot find what I am looking for.
Because I am so new, I don't even know how to begin with this. I have created one table with each student's basic information: Last name, First name, Grade, Phone Number, Address, etc.
How do I create this separate table to track daily attendance? How do I track amount of student absences?

If you are new to Access, I'd suggest looking for templates rather than building your database from scratch. That will usually start you off with a good database structure which you can learn from, while customizing it to suit your specific needs. Try searching for something along the lines of "MS Access Student Attendance Database".

    Here is *one* example...

The Desktop Student Database Template for Access is a comprehensive database of student information that any educator can use to store information for multiple students.
