Conditional Formatting from blank fields to

[robtech4]

When using the conditional formatting to compare two fields...

[Field1]<>[Forms]![frmApprove]![Field1]

It is working great for fields that already have something in them; however, when the field is blank and then gets updated to contain some text it is not formatting the field.

In my sample database, the blank fields do no highlight. I guess the conditional formatting does not evaluate Null values. Do you want them to highlight? If so, simply add another rule to the conditional formatting. Choose Expression and set the vaule to the following:

IsNull([Field1])

Then set the formatting as you wish. Hope this helps.
