Field List not reflecting database table

I am using a database table which shows a column for "FW" but the field list does not show this. This is the only one where I cannot use a control source.

What type of field is "FW"? Which version of access are you using?

What is your backend? You need to provide details if you want any help.

It sounds like it might be an external DBMS and it's a calculated field.

Field List not showing database field

I am using a database table in Access 2010 which shows a column named "FireWarden " but the field list does not show when trying to link to the control source. This is the only instance where I cannot use a listed control source.

Did you check to see if it's a calculated field?

It is not a calculated field. This is part of a simple 'excel type' table i.e. a basic list of columns. All the other columns appear in the "Control Source" list. Just not this one. ☺
Sample: Design view:Properties of FA - Control Source drop box shows FA.
Properties of FW - Control Source drop box does not show FW. Data sheet view shows both .?. ☺
