    SubReport's Overlapping

    Ok,

Hopefully I am just ignorant and cant figure this out but I am having trouble with multiple sub reports. I have two queries each on its own sub report on a master report. Where I am having trouble is the fact that when one gets bigger than the room allotted it will overlap the lower one. How do I keep this from happening. I don't see a reason for code here but I will add my queries if requested.

The following is based on my experience in AC2003.
The section in which you have the reports need to have its CanGrow section set to True.

The control(s) containing the supreport must (in design view) not be overlapping, and must have a vertical distance larger>0. The Control containing the supreport can itself have a very small height.

I was going to say that, but in reverse. Find any CanGrow properties and set them to False (I'm sure that's what Smiley meant really :-D).

        NeoPa,

Not to say your wrong but Smiley's answer seemed to fix the problem. I changed both the subreport and the detail of each subreport to can grow and everything shows. With no overlapping.

That indicates I clearly was wrong. Lucky that Smiley was there with a more precise understanding :-)

            NeoPa,

I do appreciate the help though. You have always been more then willing to make sure my crazy questions get answered.

Your post was fine Stevan. It helped clarify the situation and I was simply wrong in my understanding. I try hard not to be, but when I am then I am. Pointing it out was absolutely the correct thing to do :-)
