When you "SaveAs" cvs, it should automatcally create a "comma separated" filem meaning each cell is followed by a comma. Your numbers would look like like this when you open the new file in a text editor: 12.25,hello,"he llo, dolly",etc. The numbers are already protected. If there's a comma inside the field then the value (string) is surrounded by " ". The other fields are open for interprtation by whatever import app you might use.

Why are you exporting it? If your importing it somewhere else, you may be able to import the xlsx without converting it first.
