Opening a form by clicking a button based on Combo Box Selection

Help! Here is the jist. I am using MS Access 2007 and I have a form (Server/Application) that has a combo box (Application). I would like to add a button next to the combo box that, when clicked, will open a separate form (Applications) with data that is based on the selection in the combo box.

I found similar question and tried to use the solution provided, however it didnt work for me.

I hope I provided enough details.

Your first links is in regards to subforms. I do not wish to have a subform, I would like a button click to open an separate existing form that contains the data.

In the second link the user is trying to open a new form from the combo box itself, whereas I am trying to click on a button and have a form open based on the selection on the combo box. Not sure if it works the same, which is why I am asking for help.
